Zahid Syed

Founder & BeingCharitable

A Mentor, motivational speaker and being charitable by nature. He loves charity work and regularly conducts clothing, shoes, food and disaster-relief drives for local & international charities. He started BeingCharitable in 2021 with hopes that he could encourage students and young professionals to consider their ability to make an impact for those in need around the world. 
Zahid graduated from CUNY with a Bachelor’s in IS and from Aspen University with an MBA. Apart from BeingCharitable, he works as Site Reliability Ops for Priceline.com- Booking holdings. Zahid is an active member of ICPC & ICF Muslim communities.  He is a part of multiple cricket-groups and  often throws live-cricket viewing parties at home.

Aafia Syed

Program Director- MD

Aafia holds a Bachelor’s from Johns Hopkins University in Writing Seminars & a Dual Master’s in Early Childhood General and Special Education from Bank Street College of Education. Currently a preschool teacher, she has extensive experience working with children from every background and is especially dedicated to ensuring the rights of children who have special needs or have undergone trauma at a young age. At BeingCharitable, among other responsibilities, Aafia works on projects meant to empower children no matter how young to become real change makers in the world.

Hiba I. Fazal

Program Director-NJ

Hiba graduated from Rutgers University, NJ with a Bachelors &  Masters in Social Work Management. She is naturally passionate about helping people around her. Now, she is taking her passion to another level and responsible for  community outreach and fundraising campaigns for BeingCharitable-NJ chapter.

Rizwana Farid

Director-Pakistan

A seasoned educator and a Senior Principal & Master Trainer of TCF schools, holding many prestigious awards for last 25 years. She is experienced with project management, community outreach and welfare. Rizwana is responsible for BeingCharitable’s operational activities in Pakistan including logistics, buying, distribution, and people management.

Arham Syed

Community Liaison-Youth- Prosper, TX

Arham is a 11th grader and an honor student at Prosper High. He is a member of National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). He likes books, video games, swimming, and movies. He is a tutor at Gideon Learning, teaching Mathematics and English to elementary students. He is an active member of ICPC Muslim community of Prosper volunteer group and always ready to assist in community affairs. 

Noman Ahmad

Project Coordinator- Pakistan
